Facebook

Account Setup:
We will set up Facebook business pages, completing all relevant information, setting up relevant tabs, and assigning administrators.

Account Management:
When it comes to managing Facebook business pages, our flexible service is governed by the needs of your clients. We can post the occasional news item to the wall, or we can respond to all wall posts made within fifteen minutes, twenty four hours a day and seven days a week - whatever the level of service required, our dedicated team will provide.

Application Development:
With a sound understanding of the way online communities work, we build a variety of Facebook applications for our agency partners and their clients. We advise on design and development, and how to get the best from the facebook api.

Twitter

Twitter account setup:
We set up Twitter accounts on behalf of our clients brands, and advise on the best way to begin a campaign and increase followers.

Twitter account management:
We gain a deep understanding of our agency partners brands to enable us to successfully manage a variety of campaigns on behalf of the brand, whilst adhering to strict guidelines. Levels of service are governed by the needs of the client, and can include such things as responding to tweets directed at the brand, and brand mentions in general tweets, up to a level of service which requires us to respond to tweets within an agreed timeframe, 24/7.

Campaign solutions:
Twitter campaigns can be extremely successful, especially when integrated with a more general ongoing brand campaign. We align Twitter campaigns with your general marketing strategy, and advise on and implement promotions and ensure positive brand engagement.

YouTube

Account setup:
We set up YouTube channels and administration permissions on behalf of clients, either a basic account or a dedicated channel. We can then advise on the best way to utilise YouTube and all it has to offer, including advising on appropriate content.

Channel management:
We upload videos on behalf of clients, and then set keywords to ensure the videos have the best chance of appearing in search results, whilst promoting them through the brand website and other social media outlets a brand may have.

Big Dot Media

BigDot taking over the world.. well, another office anyway!

The Big Dot is getting bigger, expansion is planned once more, with some very exciting developments in the pipeline.

Perhaps the most exciting of these is the creation of additional space, which we have nicknamed ‘The Pit’, although this is a rather unattractive name for what will be a beautiful area for staff and clients alike.  We are creating a meeting room, training facility and crash pad, adjoining our current office.  As you know, our work is highly confidential so we can’t entertain visitors at our office which is why we decided to create this new area.

This brand new space will include:

Partner Meeting Room:
A client meeting room for those partners wishing to come along and discuss projects, or just drop in for a coffee and a chat and witness the wonders of our location in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

Training Facility:
A place where we will be running half or full day training sessions, including lunch, for one partner company at a time (due to our silent partnership status) on various specialist areas of digital media, social marketing and search engine optimisation (more on this at a later date).

Crash Pad:
A crash pad for the development team is being created as a place to down tools and play a game of pool, have a blast on the Wii, or even watch a DVD.

We can’t wait for these developments to take place and we will keep you posted about when the new facilities have been completed.  We will contact our partners in the near future to talk some more about the training courses we will be offering.

Earlier this week, Aaron Brady from the Facebook Developer Team took great pleasure in announcing to the world Facebook’s latest venture – Facebook App Store. Sorry; Facebook App Center. Another company has already staked their claim on the term ‘App Store’, much to the annoyance of Mark Zuckerberg, no doubt. Without revealing too much about [...]

Why Facebook Like-Gates are dead - May 2012

Well, not exactly “dead”. They’re still massively used by brands on Facebook. The reason for this is simple – brands; just like the majority of people, see Facebook as a popularity contest. The more friends/likes you have, the more popular/successful you are: Enter Facebook Like-Gates. Using like-gates as a metric though, is becoming increasingly outdated. [...]

Brands Using Social Media Without Engagement – Isn’t That Just Traditional Advertising? - May 2012

Brands Using Social Media Without Engagement… The social media landscape evolves on almost a daily basis, but two things it seems are certain: Content is the King, and user engagement is its’ Queen. What happens though, when the Queen is ignored? Is it possible for brands using social media without engagement to still succeed? The [...]
